Monday, July 18, 2011: Southern Railways today cancelled three long distance trains after slush fell on the track following heavy rains at Pomendi between Ratnagiri and Nivsar in Konkan railway. The trains cancelled are the Ernakulam-Madgaon Express leaving Ernakulam junction on July 18; Lokmanya Tilak- Thiruvananthapuram Express leaving Lokmanya Tilak Terminal today and its pairing train Thiruvananthapuram-Lokmanya Tilak express leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central on July 20, a southern railway press release said here today.
