Tuesday, August 23, 2011: A group of unidentified armed persons decamped with 24 sovereigns of gold jewellery and Rs. 32,000 cash from a house at beach ward in Alappuzha yesterday night. The house wife identified as Mini (32) was beaten up by the robbers who sneaked into the house. The incident occurred by 8.40 pm on Monday when she was alone in the house, police told.
Police have started investigation into the incident.
