Monday, August 22, 2011: Activists of the Kerala Students Union (KSU) and Students Federation of India (SFI) clashed at SN College campus here on Monday. The infuriated students also pelted stones at the police who entered the college campus without permission. Kazhakootam SI Rajkumar was injured in the stone pelting and has been admitted at a nearby hospital here.
Police resorted to lathicharge to disperse the agitated students in which around 10 students were seriously injured and have been admitted in the General hospital here.
This incident is reported to be the continuation of a dispute between the students that existed in connection with the KSU unit formation, police told.
