Monday, August 22, 2011: A major robbery was reported at the Mezhuvelli service co-operative Bank at Pathanamthitta here on Monday. The bank locker was found broken and jewellery worth Rs 2 crore was looted, according to initial reports. The robbery took place on Sunday night.
Thieves broke open the rear door with a gas cutter. The attendar who reached the bank today the morning reported about the theft. Finger print experts and police have started a detailed investigation into the incident.
