August 22. 2011: The Kerala High Court on Monday gave permission for continuing seat allotment process to Engineering colleges in the state. The directive came while considering a plea filed by the state government challenging the Court order imposing a stay on allotments till Monday. The government informed that the Court order would adversely affect the future of about 25,000 students as the allotment process was in its final phase.
Unlike the previous years, this year the marks scored by candidate in plus two exams were also added to the entrance marks and the list was prepared based on that.
A Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice J Chelemeswar and Justice P R Ramachandra Menon, had earlier issued the order on a petition filed by Sohan Varghese of Ernakulam.
