Tuesday, August 23, 2011: Mild tremors measuring upto 2 in the Richter scale were experienced in Idukki district on Tuesday and have triggered panic among the residents in the area. Any such incident is of great concern for Kerala as Mullaperiyar dam, set to be in a vulnerable state, is situated in the district.
