Monday, 12 December 2011: The Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam(DMK) moves the Supreme Court on Monday for a direction to the Kerala government to increase the water level in the Mullaperiyar dam from 120 ft. to 142 ft.Meanwhile The Kerala government moved the Supreme Court on Thursday for a direction to the Tamil Nadu government to reduce the water level in the Mullaperiyar dam from 136 ft. to 120 ft. so as to avoid any immediate calamity.
