T.P murder case: DGP Jacob Punnose takes a U-turn

Monday, May 21, 2012: Taking a U-turn on his earlier stand that the killing of RMP leader T.P Chandrasekharan was not a political murder, DGP Jacob Punnoose today opined that he had not made any such comments.
Addressing the mediapersons here on Monday, Jacob Punnoose said that the investigation into the murder of Marxist rebel Chandrasekharan at Onchiyam on May 4 is moving in right direction.
The investigation of the case is progressing well and all the accused will be brought to book, he said. DGP had earlier stated that for police it is only a murder and that political murder is a coinage created by the media.
