Auction of forestland: State to approach HC

Thursday, July 19. 2012: Forest Minster K.B. Ganesh Kumar today told the state assembly that the High Court of Kerala would be approached soon stating that the 1,163 acres of forestland in Nilamboor forest area was notified as Ecologically Fragile Land (EFL) in 2000, and it belonged to the State.


‘The State will approach the High Court against the ruling which allowed auctioning of land in question ‘, he said. The minister was replying to a submission brought by the opposition in the State assembly .
