Case registered against hotel owner over death due to food poisoning

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A case will be registered against the owner of the hotel in connection with the death of a Keralite student in Bangalore due to food poisoning, under the Food Security Act. The dead has been identified as Sachin Roy Mathew.


The owner will be charged with the offence where he will have to serve a life sentence.


Sachin (21) was the son of Roy Mathew and Sucy Roy of Viyyappuram in Alappuzha. The post mortem report also confirmed the death of the youth was due to food poisoning.
