Mavelikkara temple theft: Police arrests main accused

Sunday, July 15, 2012: The Mavelikkara police has arrested Raju (27),of Nooranad, from Pune, who is accused of stolling the gold crown and ‘aramani’ (chain around the waist) on the idol of Sree Krishna at the Mavelikkara Sree Krishna Temple.


Police got information that Raju had sneaked into Maharashtra from Karnataka. Following this, police laid the net in Maharashtra and he was nabbed. Police had interrogated a Venmani native by taking him into custody.
