Oppn stages walkout from assembly

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  The opposition LDF staged a walkout from the assembly for denying permission for the adjournment motion seeking discussion on the death of tribal woman due to absence of doctors in Attappady. The motion was moved by K V Vijayadas.


Health Minister V S Sivakumar while replying said doctors in hospitals of Attappady and Kottathara taking mass leave is dereliction of duty. A report has been sought from the director of the health department. Steps will be taken as soon as the report is obtained. The opposition boycotted the assembly dissatisfied over the reply.
