Opposition stages walkout from Assembly

Thursday, July 19, 2012: The The CPI(M) led LDF opposition in Kerala staged a walkout from the Assembly on Thursday following the speaker denying permission for an adjournment motion.


The Speaker denied permission to discuss against the court order to auction 1161 acres of land at Nilambur. K Raju issued a notice for an adjournment motion.


Deputy Opposition leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan blamed the forest mafia for aligning with a section of the judiciary and said that the govt is not keen to protect the forest lands. To protest against this, the opposition staged a walk out from the Assembly.
