TP Murder: Arrests made on strong evidences, says Intelligence wing

KOZHIKODE: The intelligence wing in its report to the state government clarified that CPI (M) leaders and activists were arrested in the T.P. Chandrasekharan Murder case on the basis of strong evidences.

The Home Ministry had earlier sought a report from Intelligence officials on the basis of allegations against the officers that arrests were being made by fabricating cases against CPI (M) leaders.

The report was sent by Vadakara Rural State Special Branch Intelligence ADGP T.P. Sen Kumar on Saturday.

In the report, it has been pointed out that CPI (M) has not yet denied the evidences of special investigation team. Hitherto, 61 persons have been arrested. A charge sheet cannot be submitted within 90 days in such a complicated case as this, in which more than 60 people were involved and murder was carried out in a pre-planned manner, the report says.
