Film on couple who lost their son

The life of the struggling couple, Ravikumar and Karthyani of Karukutty, devastated by the loss of their only son, will soon appear on the big screen.

The couple, who won legal claim over the semen of their deceased son a year ago, are still looking for a surrogate mother.

Noted director Sanjeev Sivan will make a film on the episode.

“I have been planning a film based on surrogacy. After I heard about the couple last year, I decided to make a film based on their life. We are planning to rope in national award winners Seema Biswas and Salim Kumar to act in the film,” he said.

Recently, Sanjeev Sivan completed a documentary titled ‘In search of their son.’

He also decided to make the second part of the documentary regarding the surrogate mother, if the dreams of the couple come true.
