Mani denies Adimali sensational speech

MUNNAR: CPM Idukki former district secretary M M Mani denied the speech claiming that the party was behind the murder of INTUC leader M Balu. Addressing a press meet here, he said this is a part to defame him and the party.

He said, “I’ve not said that the party was behind the murder of Balu. The soundtrack used by the media was concocted.  I’ll approach the court for showing my photo and adding some parts in the soundtrack. I’ve been in the party for the past 46 years. I grew up to this position after severe hardships. Some want to eliminate me from the party.”

He ended his speech by saying not to drag him in unnecessary controversies. Four cases have been registered against me for the controversial speech in Manakkad. The party had also expelled me from the state committee.
