Marad-II case : HC orders life sentence to 24 acquitted
KOCHI: Kerala High Court has dismissed the plea given by the 63 accused against their life sentence for the Marad massacre of May 2003.
The court has also ordered life sentence to 24 others who were earlier acquitted by the special court.
CB CID has probed the case and there were a total of 139 accused in the case.
In December 2008, the special court found the 63 out of 139 accused guilty of murder and had sentenced them to life.
