Aug 14, 2012: A 10-day-old newborn girl was found abandoned at S.R.M Road here on Tuesday. The child was admitted to the General Hospital here after locals informed the police.The child according to general hospital authorities has down syndrome and this could be the reason why it was abandoned. The child with low birth weight has been admitted to the neonatal care unit of the hospital.
