No bail for T V Rajesh


KANNUR: Kannur first class judicial magistrate court on Tuesday dismissed the bail application of DYFI state secretary T V Rajesh MLA, the 39 th accused in the Shukkoor murder case.

Rajesh surrendered to the first class magistrate court in Kannur on Monday after the high court rejected his plea for anticipatory bail.

The remand of the senior CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan, 38th accused in  the murder of Abdul Shukkoor, has been extended to August 27.

Jayarajan and Rajesh had been charged under sect 118 of IPC (concealing design to commit offence punishable with death or imprisonment for life) in connection with the murder of Shukkoor at Keezhara in February this year.
