THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government plans to make the pension age 60 after the contributory pension scheme had been put into practice.Those who enter service after April 2013 will be a part of the new pension scheme and their pension age would be 60.
The pension age of tose already in service would remain 56.
The government will take a decision after holding discussions with he service organisations who are still in protest against the introduction of the new pension scheme.
