Satnam Singh murder case: A doctor dismissed, five transferred
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The probe conducted by the health department vigilance wing revealed serious lapses on the part of the doctors who did the physical examination of the Bihari youth, Satnam Singh.
A doctor has been dismissed and five doctors from various centres were transferred by the health department.
Dr Veena G. Tilak, a psychiatrist at the Peroorkada hospital, has been dismissed.
Dr Maya Raghavan, who was on duty at the time the patient was brought as also another doctor Dr Ramachandran Pillai have been transferred.
Dr Hareesh Mani of Kollam district hospital and doctors Chintha Sukumaran and Kiran of Karunagapally taluk hospital have also been transferred.
Doctors at the Peroorkada mental health centre have threatened to go on strike on Friday.
