Short film competition only for techies

For the first time, Technopark is hosting a short film competition exclusively for techies. Prathidwani, a socio-cultural organisation of Technopark employees, is organising ‘Qisa 2012’, the first short film festival and competition at Technopark, on September 15.

Entry is restricted to films directed by techies after August 1. The best short film, second best short film, best director and best actor will be given cash prizes on September 20. The judging panel consists of film critic M F Thomas, writer Rose Mary and director Nooranadu Ramachandran. “Qisa film festival (QFF) is much more than presenting short films. It features talent across all genres, including comedy, drama, horror and sci-fi,” said Vinu P V, one of the members of Prathidwani. The prize money for the best film is ` 11,111.

IT King, Queen Auditions: Come Saturday, Technopark will experience a touch of fashion. Ahead of the IT King and IT Queen-2012, a mega fashion contest for techies in South India to be held in Technopark this month, an audition will be held on Saturday.

Techies from Infopark and Technopark are expected to attend the event. Fashion choreographer Sunil C Menon and costume designer Elsa Sakhi Thomas will judge the contestants.
