BJP wants ban on Popular Front of India

KANNUR: BJP former state president P K Krishna Das demanded state government take action to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI) and probe the murder cases of ABVP activists Vishal Kumar and Sachin Gopal by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He said the murders of ABVP activists within a month occurred without any provocation and it was planned by the PFI as similar weapons were used. The BJP demanded arrest of all the accused in the case and also NIA probe in financial sources of PFI. Krishnadas said though the state government had given an affidavit before the Kerala High Court stating the PFI had foreign links and were involved in as many as 27 murders in the state, no action was taken against them. Krishna Das alleged the PFI leaders had links with some leaders of IUML which was a constituent of UDF Government. Hence, no action was taken against the organisation nor the murderers arrested.
