Doctors' non-cooperation strike begins

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government doctors in State Health Service represented by Kerala Government Medical Officers' Association (KGMOA) have started an indefinite non-cooperation strike in protest against the government slapping transfer orders on six doctors in the Satnam Singh case. However, the strike will not affect the patients.

Meanwhile, the Health Department warned of taking action against those doctors who stayed away from its meeting. The DMO has recommended taking action against about 100 doctors in Thiruvananthapuram district. Officials in Health Department say that 98 percent of government doctors in the state boycotted the meeting.
