IBS software bags prestigious ‘IT Provider of the Year’ award

IBS Software has been awarded the prestigious ‘IT Provider of the Year’ for the air cargo industry for the year 2012 by Singapore-based Payload Asia.

The award was announced at the Payload Asia Conference in Singapore, a premiere global industry event attended by leading personalities from the air freight industry, including leading airlines, industry consultants and experts, airports and other service providers. This global award for acknowledging excellence amongst technology providers is given based on a world-wide independent online poll by various stake holders of the air cargo industry.

IBS was adjudged the winner, from among the short-listed companies, based on three parameters - relevance and currency of offering, product innovation and range of value-added services provided. In all, 16 awards covering the entire industry were presented to airlines, airports and organisations that have risen above the challenges through market adeptness, innovative products or superior strategy to excel and make a positive impact on the market.

IBS’s iCargo, developed in collaboration with six leading airlines, has now emerged as the most definitive cargo management solution in the industry, with over 20 leading cargo carriers adopting it replacing their legacy systems. The list includes All Nippon Airways, Austrian Airlines, Kingfisher Airlines, Nippon Cargo Airways, Qantas Freight, S7 Cargo, SpiceJet, South African Airways, Jetblue, Airways and Cargoitalia.
