KMCC-Dubai plea to start Air Kerala

Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC)-Dubai has urged the government to take necessary steps to start Air Kerala, an elite airline project for Malayalis, proposed to make tickets to foreign countries available at reasonable rates.

“With the recent hike in air tickets, Malayalis in foreign countries have to spend a  huge amount for travelling to home land and back. The ticket rates of airline companies, especially those operating in the Gulf countries, are high,” KMCC president P K Anvarnaha and general secretary Ibrahim Murichandy, told a press conference here on Wednesday.

They also urged the govt to interfere urgently to reduce the air ticket rates.

They submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister raising the demands.

In the memorandum, they alleged that the functioning of NoRKA was not up to the mark.
