Pleas against K Sudhakaran dismissed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram First Class Judicial Magistrate Court Monday dismissed pleas in the case registered against K Sudhakaran regarding his controversial speech. The court also dismissed Sudharakan’s pleas requesting to shift the case to another court as the magistrate court in the capital city has no right to consider the case.

Judge Ejaz has rejected the plea alleging contempt of court in the speech delivered by Sudhakaran criticizing the magistrate at Iritty in Kannur.

His claim that Rs 36 lakhs was offered to a judge for sabotaging Kerala High Court verdict cancelling 21 bar licenses sparked a controversy.
