Super star Prithviraj has apologized to his fans and media for his secret wedding in a face to face program, organized at Trivandrum Press Club on yesterday.
Prithviraj said that he and his journalist wife Supriya Menon, had always wanted their wedding to be a private function, exclusive to their close relatives.
Prithviraj had his reasons for his quiet romance as well. He said he thought that Supriya’s privacy and freedom as a journalist would have been been spoilt, if she was identified as his sweetheart. He added that both of them were equally responsible for the decision.
He justified his stand on giving misleading answers to media, when queried on his affair. Prithviraj said that the question posed before him was whether he knew Pratheeksha Menon, a Mumbai-based journalist. He said he vehemently denied the rumors as he had not even seen a girl by that name.
