Onam exams re-introduced in state-run schools

Monday, August 01, 2011: A meeting chaired by the Secretary of Public Instructions has decided to re-introduce Onam examinations in state-run schools.
Speaking to the reporters after the meeting held here on Monday, Education department authorities informed that the Onam exams would be conducted from August 22- 29.
The previous LDF government had stopped Onam and Christmas examinations in schools, bringing to an end a practice followed for decades. It had instead proposed a half-yearly exam during October and a final exam during March/April.

    Re-introducing onam exams in kerala is a very good idea.All most all teachers consider it.
