BJP activist succumbs to injuries in Kozhikode

Monday, February 13, 2012: The BJP activist, who was admitted to the Kozhikode Medical college hospital following severe injuries which he sustained after he was brutally hacked by a group of armed persons near Payyoli yesterday night, has died here on Monday.
The deceased identified as C.T Manoj, hailing from Payyoli, was brutally attacked by a group of 15 unidentified armed persons in front of his wife and children. The offenders also destroyed the household items.
As a protest against the incident the BJP along with the BMS and Hindu Aikya Vedi has called for a 24-hour hartal today.
