Large-scale encroachments found in Munnar: Minister

Saturday, February 11, 2012: State Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan today informed that Forest department officials had found out seven large scale encroachments in Munnar.
Speaking to the presspersons here on Saturday, Minister added that the government had slapped notices on the encroachers asking them to vacate from the government land within 15 days. Even though the Minister was asked to publicize the whereabouts of the encroachers he kept mum.
A 30-member special task force for detecting encroachment of forest land will be deployed in Munnar this month, he added.
