Nurses’ strike: Minister to hold talks today

Saturday, 11 February 2012: Labour Minister Shibu Baby John will hold talks with the management and nurses of MOSC Medical College Hospital, Kolencherry today.
Though various talks were held with labour officials in the past few days, the nurses were not ready to agree to the suggestions of the management. The strike, which completed two weeks on Friday, has affected the functioning of the hospital.
Meanwhile, the strike has been intensified at Lakeshore Hospital where the nurses have started a relay fast to highlight their plight.
