Malayali woman shot dead in Tanzania

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A Malayali woman was shot dead by dacoits in Tanzania on Tuesday between 9 pm and 10.30 pm. She has been identified as Meera (50), wife of Sanjeev Kumar of Vrindavan at Pongummoodu in Thiruvananthapuram.

Sanjeev Kumar was working at a banking firm known as M Bank. He usually comes home late. It was when Meera was alone that a group of dacoits ended her life.

The body of Meera will be brought to Thiruvananthapuram today (Wednesday) and will be cremated at Shantikavadom.
