Violent action Malayalam Movies Please stop glorifying criminals in films

Recently released Malayalam films Intense, Violent Action Films, “A majority of the films today glorify criminals and rowdies and depict them as Robin Hoods. This justifies criminal activities and people, especially the youth, are susceptible to such narratives,” Some studies have linked violence in films to more aggressive behaviour among viewers.

Sreenivasan seen cracking jokes with Mohanlal, actors attend marriage of producer.

Actors along with their families attend the marriage of young producer Vishak Subramanyam. Youth arrested for beating cousin to death for not feeding dog.

PALAKKAD: More information has surfaced in the incident of murdering a youth for the delay in feeding a dog. The victim is Harshad (21), son of Abdul Salaam and Ayisha of Mulayankavu Perumbrathodi.


Sharon murder case: Two evidences obtained from Greeshma’s house

PARASSALA: The police have obtained some crucial evidences in the Sharon murder case. The police collected evidence with the main accused Greeshma from her house in Ramavarmanchira today. She was brought for collecting evidence at 10:30 am. Some strangers had barged into her sealed house through the front door. In order not to destroy the evidence including handprints, the police entered the house with her through the back door. The police recovered the vessel which Greeshma used for making the ayurvedic medicine and the remaining poison. Greeshma showed these to the police. She also confessed to have given poison laced kashayam to Sharon.



When she was brought for collecting evidence in the morning, heavy police security was imposed in the house and its surroundings. Along with the Kerala Police, the Tamil Nadu Police also camped in the spot. The police brought Greeshma's father to the spot. Knowing that Greeshma will be brought to collect evidence, many had gathered in front of her house. Her house was attacked after knowing her brutality. Following secret information that the locals may manhandle her today, tight security was arranged.

Meantime, in an interrogation earlier Greeshma admitted that the juice challenge was planned to kill Sharon. Greeshma testified that she had tried to kill him several times by mixing poison in the juice. Greeshma used to give Sharon a soft drink in the name of juice challenge whenever they met since last August. Greeshma will carry juice for two. Sharon will be given the one with the color difference. The relatives had got the visuals from Sharon's phone. This is crucial in the investigation of the case.

Government orders to pay Rs 45.90-lakh-as fees to take legal action against Governor

 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government is ready to spend a huge amount to take legal action against Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. The government has sought the legal advice of constitutional expert Fali S Nariman. The government has also sought advice on drafting a law to remove the chancellor. The government ordered to pay Rs 45.9 lakh as legal fees to Fali S Nariman and his associates.

Raj Bhavan is taking no further action on Lokayukta and University Act Amendment Bills. As per the government, the Governor is not performing his duty under Article 200 of the Constitution and this step is to push the state into an administrative crisis. The government is of the opinion that it is unconstitutional for the Governor to keep indefinitely extending the bills without taking a decision. In this situation, the government sought legal advice for the possibility of approaching the court.

As soon as the legal advice is received, the state government will take further steps to approach the court. Fali S Nariman and KK Venugopal will appear in the Supreme Court on behalf of the government if they get favourable legal advice. Giant Chinese rocket debris to crash into Earth today; world on alert, airports in Spain shut down



MADRID: A Chinese rocket that had lost control will fall back to Earth today. A 20-ton rocket will enter the Earth's atmosphere. Various airports in Spain has been closed considering the impact of the rocket debris. Long March 5B rocket was launched from the Tiangong space station in China on Monday. Airports were closed to avoid any danger caused by the fragments of the rocket which is 30-metere-wide weighing 17 to 20 tons.
