No subsidy for diesel, centre directs KSRTC to use CNG

NEW DELHI: The centre made it clear that the subsidy on the diesel which was removed cannot be restored. Union Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily informed this to the ministers’ team from Kerala including the chief minister.

Moily directed the state to use Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as fuel used by Delhi instead of diesel. Moily informed them that an amount of Rs 100 crores would be granted for installing the CNG plant in Kochi.
