Tuesday, February 28, 2012: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday refused to stay the Vigilance probe ordered into the alleged the illegal allocation of land to Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan’s relative, T K Soman allegedly without following the rules.
The plea was filed by Achuthanandan’s personal assistant A Suresh, who is the eight accused in the case.
It is alleged that 2.33 acres of land in the northern Kasargod district was given to Soman, an ex-serviceman, at below the market value. The land was allotted in 2010, with a rider that it could not be sold for 25 years.
