Vehicle tax as per cost of vehicles

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister K M Mani said hereafter the vehicle tax would be fixed according to the cost of vehicles. A 6% tax will have to be paid for a vehicle upto Rs 5 lakhs.


A 8% tax will have to be paid for a vehicle amounting between Rs 5-10 lakhs. 10% tax for vehicles coming between 10-15 lakhs. 15% tax has been fixed for vehicles costing more than Rs 15 lakhs.
