Organisers planning to avoid jumbos, fireworks in Thrissur pooram

THRISSUR: Organisers of Thrissur pooram are contemplating on reducing the event to a ritual sans jumbo show or fireworks. The move is in the wake of today’s high court order seeking to ban high-decibel fireworks after dusk. The emergency meeting of Paramekkavu-Thiruvambadi Devaswoms will discuss the matter.
