Bharat Bhushan said chief minister Oomen Chandy and M K Raghavan MP wanted to start flight services to Chennai and Thiruvananathpuram. Talks are on with some private flight companies too. Air India won't be able to start services as of now. He said the baggage of travelers is handled by Air India in Kozhikode airport. To cut delay it has been decided that private company would be entrusted with the job. That would be done without posing a threat to anyone's job. The State government has been asked to appoint more policemen to cut short the delay in emigration.
