Bangalore blast: Achuthanandan writes to Karnataka CM


Thursday, 29 December 2011: Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan today wrote a letter to Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda requesting to avail treatment for PDP leader Abdul Nazar Maudani, accused in the Bangalore blast case.
In his letter Achuthanandan requested that the trial proceedings against Abdul Nazar Maudani should not be extended. The police had named 32 people in the charge sheet in the blast case including PDP Chairman Abdul Nasser Maudani.
The prime accused is T. Nasir, said to be associated with Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba. One woman was killed and 15 persons were injured when eight low-intensity explosions hit Bangalore on July 25, 2008.
