VS sends letters to TN leaders

Opposition Leader V S  Achuthanandan has sent letters to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, his Tamil counter part Vijayakanth and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi urging them to bring an end to the violence being perpetrated in various parts of the state on the people of Kerala.
In separate letters addressed to the three prominent Tamil leaders, he appealed that Tamil Nadu Government should take adequate measures to ensure that lives and properties of Keralites remain secure.
The ongoing agitations in Kerala regarding the dam security has emphasised the need for a new dam. But the agitations here are peaceful unlike in Tamil Nadu. All political leaders in Kerala have exhorted the people not to spread hatred against their Tamil brethren.
But the people of Kerala have been attacked and their properties ransacked in the neighbouring state after the media there had spread canards that Tamils were attacked in Kerala.
