Dileep as 96-year-old in Kammara Sambavam

Kammara Sambavam is the film that is getting ready in Murali Gopy’s script and with Dileep in the lead role. In the film to be directed by Ratheesh Ambatt, Dileep will appear in different getups. The new look poster of the film is out. Dileep himself has released the poster on which he appears as 96-year-old man. The poster first appeared in his Facebook page.

Dileep has judiciously used the tag line ‘Orayiram Nunakalil Koorthedutha Sathyamulla Oru Sambavam’, which means ‘A big thing, that is beaded together in one thousand lies – that is Kammaran’.

Tamil actor Siddharth is also doing an important character in the film. The first-look poster of the film sporting Dileep and Siddharth was released earlier.

Murali Gopi, Boby Sinha, Shwetha Menon and Namitha Pramod are other actors in the film. The film is expected to reach theatres during Vishu. Gokulam Gopalan is producing the film.

Aadi's pirated copy on internet

KOCHI: Pranav Mohanlal starrer Aadi’s pirated copy is out there on the internet.

This has been made available on the website by Tamil Rockers.

This is not the first time a new film has appeared on the site within days of its release.

Tamil Stars’ organisation Natikar Sangam’s general secretary and actor Vishal had come out against Tamil Rockers which deals a serious blow to the film industry. But he couldn’t do much.

Mohanlal’s latest release Villain also had been uploaded on Tamil Rockers’ website.

Odiyan coming in October

Odiyan is a film Malayalis are looking forward to watching with much expectation. Even before the start of the third phase of the shooting, the film crew has released the releasing date of the film.  

The film will come to regale the audience on October 18. It is informed that releasing date has been shifted to October since more time is needed for post-production works.

Mohanlal will join the third session of the film soon after he completes Ajoy Varma’s Neerali and Roshen Andrew’s Nivin Pauly film Kayamkulam Kochunni.

Mohanlal who had shed 18 kg and appeared in a new getup in the public had evoked mixed reactions from the people.
The cast of the film has Manju Warrier in the lead and other prominent stars like Prakash Raj and Narain. The film is being produced by Antony Perumbavur under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas. Action scenes directed by Peter Hein is another highlight of the film.

Boby Chemmannur in jail

Sangareddy (Telungana): Chemmannur International Jewellery group owner Boby Chemmannur spent a day in Sanga Reddy District jail on Thursday. He got this opportunity as part of the programme 'Jail expereince' organised by the jail department in Telungana. For this he had to pay Rs 500 as fees.


220 year old Sanga Reddy jail  was recently converted to museum by Telungana government. Social activist Ashir Ali, Yoga teacher Prashanth and Vinoy, all of them his freinds, accompanied him.

Boby said it was his long cherished dream of 15 years to experience jail life. His request for the same was turned down by Kerala police long ago, citing that only a culprits can be in jail in Kerala.

Chakara on Kollam seashore

KOLLAM: Those who went to buy fish on Kollam seashore on Thursday went back with their carry bag full of Sardine fish.

There was a gush of Sardine fish at fishing harbour and port during the day.

Foreseeing the Chakara, rowing boats in the sea informed the shore about it. By then fish in big quantities had reached the shore, allowing those awaited to buy fish to pick them up. In search of Chakara, boats also went into the sea. Fishermen caught fish by spreading nets within 100 metre of the port. From Port and Vadi, more than 200 small row boats set off to cash in on the opportunity. When Rs 2500 is the auction price of a basket of Sardine usually, on Thursday it was just Rs 800.

Fishermen said Chakara of Sardine occurs annually.

KSRTC pension will not be delayed henceforth: A K Saseendran

KOZHIKODE: Transport Minister A K Saseendran has said that arrangements would be made to see to it that the pension of KSRTC employees would never be delayed.

He also assured that the current dues would be paid up before coming Wednesday, as the government has reached an agreement with the bank consortium for this.

He added that the corporation would be made capable to pay the pensions every month from now on.

Literary festivals aren’t LDF’s property: Kannanthanam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Tourism Minister Alphonse Kannanthanam has said that the literary festivals happening in Kerala are not LDF’s property.

“The stages must be to share and propagate ideas, and they should not be made as the property of anyone. It is not right to sideline a few people labelling them as right-wingers,” he said.

He added that the Centre has given Rs. 20 lakhs for the literary festival that’s happening in Kozhikode.

Speculations over KSEB pension crisis baseless: M M Mani

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Electricity Minister M M Mani has said that the speculations over crisis in KSEB pension are baseless.

He clarified that unlike KSRTC, KSEB has financial assets worth crores of rupees.
