Muslim League announced ministers today

Sunday, May 22, 2011: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), the second largest constituent in the newly sworn-in Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government in Kerala, has announced its five ministerial candidates today.
The Muslim league candidates who will be provided with ministerial berths to the new Kerala cabinet are MK Muneer, Manjalamkuzhi Ali, V K Ibrahim Kunju and P K Abdurub. Party General Secretary P K Kunhalikutty has been already inducted into the Oommen Chandy Cabinet.
Announcing the decision Panakkad Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal, IUML state president informed his party has demanded one more minister berth and Manjalamkuzhi Ali would be a minister, if the UDF accepts the demand.
The portfolios are:-
Manjalamkuzhi Ali- Parliamentary affairs (most probably)
MK Muneer (Social welfare and Panchayat)
VK Ibrahim Kunju (PWD)
PK Abdurub (Education)
PK Kunhalikutty would handle industries, IT and urban development ministries.
The IUML state president informed MK Muneer has submitted him a copy of his resignation letter from the post of India Vision, chairman.

Saturday 21 May 2011: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), the second largest constituent in the newly sworn-in Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government in Kerala, would announce its ministerial candidates today.
Party General Secretary P K Kunhalikutty, already inducted into the Oommen Chandy Cabinet three days ago, had a meeting with IUML state unit President Panakkad Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal at his residence at Pannakkad in Malappuram district on Friday.
The Parliamentary Board of the party, which had elected Kunhalikutty as Legislature Party leader, had recently empowered Thangal to name its representatives in the Chandy cabinet.
However, Thangal had convened another round of Parliamentary Board meeting to be attended by the Party’s all India President and Union Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed, to give a formal nod to the probable list, reports said.
Names doing the rounds for ministerial berths are P K Abdurub, Abdusamadh Samadhani, V K Ibrahim Kunhu, T A Ahamed Kabir and M K Muneer.
