Oommen Chandy ministry completed Ministers List, List of Ministers

 Saturday, May 21, 2011: The final list of Congress Ministers to UDF ministry has been announced by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at press meet held here on Saturday. KC Joseph, Aryadan Muhammad, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Adoor Prakash, AP Anil Kumar, CN Balakrishnan, K Babu, VS Shivakumar, PK Jayalakshmi will get ministerial berths.

The list of Congress Ministers was finalized after discussion held between Chief Minister Oommen Chnady and Congress president Sonia Gandhi at New Delhi on Friday. The official declaration on the Speaker post would be made tomorrow likely.

The Congress leadership is expected to have finally reached a decision regarding the party nominees in the Oommen Chandy cabinet in Kerala. State Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today handed over the final list of Congress nominees to the Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

According to emerging hints Ramesh Chennithala, K Muraleedharan and G Karthikeyan won’t be part of the UDF ministry.

The names which have got final approval are Thiruvanjoor Radhakrishnan, CN Balakrishnan, Aryadan Muhamed, VS Sivakumar, K Babu, AP Anil Kumar, KC Joseph, Adoor Prakash and PK Jayalakshmi. Jayalakshmi is the surprise inclusion in the list, owing to stiff pressure from the high command. Her name has been approved as the lone woman representative and youth member.

Chennithala has already informed the high command of the reasons behind his reasons to stay out of the cabinet. The KPCC president is understood to have adopted such a stand forseeing direct pressure from Sonia Gandhi to have a re-think.
