Friday, June 24, 2011: CPM State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan today came down heavily on the UDF government for its decision to grant no-objection certificates (NOC) for new CBSE schools in State. Pinarayi was speaking after inaugurating a hunger strike launched in front of the Secretariat by the DYFI demanding the protection of the education sector. CPM leader added that the government was taking a favourable stand towards the self-financing managements for protecting the vested interests. DYFI all-India president P Sree Ramakrishnan, State secretary TV Rajesh, District secretary SP Deepak took part in the strike.
