KILIMANOOR: When hardcore criminals roam in the City unabashedly, a tipper lorry driver was arrested on Monday for the mere reason that he didn’t switch on his vehicle’s indicator. Who is responsible for the police’ lightning action? It is none other than solar scam accused Saritha S Nair.
The incident leading to the arrest happened at 7:30 am today. She was travelling in her car to Ambalappuzha court via MC Road. When she reached Kilimanoor and at the road before Kuravankuzhy, she saw a tipper taking a right turn without its right indicators blinking.
Her car overtook the lorry and blocked its way. She scolded the lorry driver for “violating the rule”. She also informed top traffic officials.
Within minutes, traffic police reached the spot and arrested the driver.
Though Saritha also had to go the traffic police station to give a written complaint, she was allowed to leave the station soon for appearing in the court.
