SFI says ‘no’ to strikes

KANNUR: SFI, a student’s organization owing allegiance to the Left Front, requested all students’ organizations to shelve strikes, which disrupts classes. The strike should be staged to study and not to disrupt classes, opined SFI all India president V Sivadasan.

Strikes unleashing violence is outdated. He asked students organizations to withdraw from that. All strikes should attract the public and others will not exist, he said.

However, AISF clarified that they do not agree with the stand of the SFI.

CPM central committee member E P Jayarajan MLA had the other day opined that organizations like SFI should withdraw from the old forms of strikes.
