Bangalore: PDP chairman Abdul Naser Madani had completed one year in jail. His bail application which was earlier rejected by the lower court and Karnataka HC is currently under the consideration of the Supreme Court. Madani is currently serving jail sentence at the Parappana Agrahara jail. The hearing proceedings would continue on Friday.
He was arrested on August 17, 2010 from his house at Anvassery in Karunagapally .
Madani was arrested by Harshita Attalluri, the then Superintendent of Police in Kollam, amidst one of the largest police mobilizations Kerala had ever seen, after a week-long drama of tension at Anvarssery, alleged political indifference by the then State government, press conferences by the accused and protests and emotional outbursts all over the State by PDP workers.
