Wednesday, August 3, 2011: Police have concluded that the fire occured at a handicraft stall near the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple here on Sunday night was the handiwork of miscreants. Police sources today said the suspected people, including former Chief Secretary Ramachandran Nair was also questioned in connection with the incident. Police came to the conclusion that a land-dispute was the reason for the act of arson.
The police would submit a detailed report to the Government after collecting more evidences in this regard. It was also reported that diesel was used for lighting the fire after leaked gas from an LPG cylinder, which blasted.
