Sea pirates Saturday hijacked a tanker with 21 Indian crew members onboard from Salalah Port in Oman, a top maritime authority said. The Marshall Island flagged ship, MT Fairchem Bogey, was hijacked while it was anchored off the port, according to the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS).
The ship is managed by Messrs. Anglo-Eastern Ship Management (India) Pvt Ltd.
The Indian Navy and other maritime security agencies have been informed of the development, according to the DGS.
